There are no page numbers in eBooks, and the page size dynamically adapts to the resolution of the device/app in which the eBook is being displayed, as well as to the font size and display orientation (portrait/landscape) chosen by the user. Therefore, numbers next to Index items are just links to the dynamic "page" where the item is being displayed. Note also that eBook readers often have a Search feature that is in effect more versatile than the Index.
